Internet

We will both log in to Skype a few minutes before your scheduled constellation. Open Pamela for Skype if you'd like to record the video broadcast. When you're set up, if you have a web cam, call my Skype account using the video call option. If you don't have a web cam, choose the phone call option. If you have neither a web cam nor microphone, send me an instant text message so I know you are ready for your constellation. After you connect with me, I will start my video broadcast and we will start the constellation.

Once we've finished the constellation we can arrange a follow–up appointment for the opportunity to give feedback on your constellation. After that, we simply disconnect the call unless you'd like a copy of the broadcast transferred to you.

If you did not record the broadcast yourself and you would like a copy, I can transfer the file using Skype at that time if the constellation was an hour or less. If the constellation is longer, it is faster to transfer a compressed copy and we can arrange another time for the transfer using Skype or I can send the file email, if your email provider allows. When you receive the file, simply unzip it using any archiver product you have or download a free copy of 7–zip from the Download Links. You can watch the video using any player you have on your computer or device. If you don't have a player, you find on the Download Links or by using Google to search the internet.

Although Gmail is now offering video, I haven't been using it. If you are interesting in an internet constellation and would like to suggest use of another product, please do not hesitate to contact me with the details and I will look into it.

Remote

The remote option for a Natural Dynamic Constellation works like this: When I receive your order, I will schedule your remote constellation for my next available opening. You will need to send me your description of the situation and what you'd like resolved in writing since we won't be connecting on the internet or in person. When it comes time for your constellation I will do the constellation but we will not connect. I will use the descriptions you provided for me to set up and work the constellation. I will video record your constellation. I can send a copy of the video broadcast via file transfer through Skype or email or … as a last resort, I can send a DVD USPS.

Since there is little interaction or intervention, the remote option works just as well as the internet or in person option — there are just differences. It is not interactive — you can't participate during the constellation. This option is good for you if you don't need to or want to interact or you don't have the time to sit for the constellation but want still want the work on a situation.

In Person

In Person constellations can either be In Calls which are in my office, Out Calls which are out of my office or on a location of your choice.

I am no longer holding In Person constellations or sessions in the Edmonds/Lynnwood office.

Out Calls

Some people prefer constellations in a familiar environment or at a specific location. It's a matter of personal preference for your comfort level in regards to privacy and what you'd like to accomplish with the constellation. It can be easier to work on family issues or deeper work at your own place and you don't have to jump in a car and drive after the constellation. Working out the constellation in the environment that holds the people who need to resolve conflicts can sometimes expedite the work so some choose to go on location.

I will do the constellation at your residence, office or private space if you can guarantee an adequate, comfortable working space with no interruptions. A comfortable working space would be, at best, a table with an uncluttered work surface and a couple chairs. If table space is unavailable, a couple chairs or a couch and uncluttered floor space will suffice.

On Location

I will do the constellation at your office, work space, studio, a specific site, a place of meaning, a potentially new house or office, even in the dugout. I do need to consider the working space situation in regards to your location. I will need a flat surface space and space to work around that but I'm pretty flexible as on location constellations can be worth the trip.

We will take into account any travel considerations when finalizing the scheduling of your appointment. We will meet at the location at the scheduled appointment time. Make sure the working space is ready before the appointment so you don't waste any of your appointment time getting prepared. I will set up the constellation in the working space you provide.

Mail

Mail a money order or check. When scheduling your constellation, include a message in the notes box that you won't be paying online and I will send you the address after you confirm your appointment.

In Person

For in person constellations you can pay with cash, checks, money order, online payments via Paypal or a Paypal account.

When you're ready to schedule your constellation, book your preferred appointment day and time through my online scheduler at Lattiss.com by clicking a Book Now button.

Start by selecting the service you paid for to get to the calendar. Select your preferred date and time. You will need to provide the following information when booking an appointment online:

Name

Provide your first and last name.

Phone

Provide your contact phone as a back up in case I need to contact you about your appointment and email would be too slow or unavailable.

Email

Provide your contact email. Confirmation of your appointment will be sent to this email.

Check the box if you are a new client to Dynamic Constellations.

Remind

You will receive an email reminder of your appointment. The reminder is set for 1 day before your appointment or you can change this to what you wish.

Notes

Provide a brief statement about what you'd like to work on in your constellation.

You do not need to register with Lattiss.com, my online scheduler, to book your appointment but if you do register, you can change the day or time of a scheduled constellation yourself. If you don't register and you want to change your appointment, you need to contact me directly. Be Ready

For All Internet Constellations

Be sure everything is in working order before your session so that we don't spend any time of your session getting you set up. If you are new at using any of the services or required equipment, get everything set up a day or two before your session is scheduled and make sure you have tested that everything is working.

Be Prepared

Prepare Yourself

Occasionally I get asked if there is any kind of activity that would contribute to a successful constellation. The first on my list would be: actually be ready to look into the situation you say you'd like to resolve in the constellation. It's one thing to wish some things were different or say you'd like to change something but it's another to be able to sit still and stay focused and actually be ready to look at the situation. There is a difference between the stories about your problem than the problem described as a series of events or actions taken by several people.

An activity or practice that offers good companion work to constellation work is Focusing. You can get all the information you need — including a buddy system — from The Focusing Institute. From their web site: "Focusing is direct access to a bodily knowing." You do this in constellation, but Focusing is a practice so you can learn to use this all the time. It is also explained:

With training you can find the entry point to your embodied knowledge. After that, you can become able to stay long enough to interact with it. Then you can do many different things when you reach a profound level.

The how–to's are clearly provided on the web site in multiple languages with no additional materials or classes or workshops required under An Introduction to Focusing: Six Steps. The six steps are also available in: Nederlands, Deutsch, Español, Dansk, Hebrew, Italiano, Portugues, Suomi and Japanese.

I may take a survey from those who use constellation work regularly if they have any recommendations from person experience. I'll post that here when available.

Technical

Skype⁄Pamela

Skype is a free downloadable application that enables VoIP and allows you to make computer to computer phone calls and video calls with no additional charge to what you already pay for internet access. Skype also has instant text messaging and file transfer capabilities. You need a microphone, speakers and a web cam to make video calls. You need a microphone and speakers to make regular phone calls. You will need to download, install and test Skype before your scheduled constellation.

If you do not have a web cam or a microphone you can still receive my video broadcast on your monitor and sound through your speakers. I won't be able to see or hear you but you can use the instant text messenger to ask questions.

Skype has been very stable in regard to keeping a consistent video and sound feed as well as uninterrupted text messaging and file sharing at the same time. Although Skype is free, there are no ads delivered to interrupt the feed. Also, Skype allows recording of the video broadcast by using Pamela for Skype, Professional Edition, which offers a free for 30 day trail. 30 days after installation the product will not work without paying for a license.

Recording

During an Internet constellation you have the option of using Pamela for Skype to record the video broadcast of your constellation. Pamela is a free companion application that allows recording of video calls or phone calls made while connected on Skype. If you would like to make a video recording of the constellation you will also need to download, install and test Pamela for Skype prior to your constellation.

The video recording for remote and in person constellations will be in the avi format. You can play this file with any player or device that plays .avi files. If you need to download a free player find one in the download links.

File Transfers

If you do not to use Pamela for Skype to record your Internet constellation, I can send you a copy of my recording of the broadcast. I can transfer the file to you while we are still connected via Skype. You'll need to stay logged in to Skype until the file transfer is complete. If you can not stay online and logged in to Skype I can send the recording file via email. In the case of Constellation Sessions which run longer so the video file is larger, I prefer to use a file archiver which makes the files smaller and faster to transfer. You can de–compress or un–zip the file using any popular archiver or download a free copy of 7–zip.

Discussing The Work

A Natural Dynamic Constellation is much less interactive and works best if you allow it to unfold with little intervention. If you're finding you personally like to discuss the work more fully, a Dynamic Constellation with Agendas Session is much more interactive and actually works best if you contribute during the working of the constellation.

Some people tend to want to talk a lot more during in person constellations than they do during internet constellations. Nothing personal but this can distract from the constellation and it usually doesn't contribute to the work. For me, in preparing to facilitate the constellation, it can be difficult to re–focus since my original intention is to meet and do the work. I know sometimes it's a way to release nervous energy and that's ok to be in touch with that but it works out much better if we don't let that rule the constellation work.

I offer an opportunity for a 15 minute follow-up any time you'd like after your constellation. If you'd like to discuss constellation work, I offer 30 minute blocks of time through the online scheduler for Q&A time. I also schedule regular open chat times and the information is posted on the site. If you'd like to discuss your constellation, you can book a follow–up appointment at the online scheduler. You can always connect via email, phone or instant message for other discussions. Keep in mind that constellation work is not counseling, and I am not a certified counselor, and constellation work is not for providing advice. The constellation provides you an opportunity to gain greater awareness about the situations you inquire about and provides you with the opportunity to consider alternatives in your choices of resolving conflicts.

Tape Recording

I do not tape record constellations. You may tape or digitally record your session using your own device, however, there are several silent periods during a constellation where the situation is unfolding, the layout is standing, the constellation is in seeking mode or the constellation reaches neutral, and there will be no commentary. This can make for a lot of blank tape time. Also, Sessions can take up to two hours and that could take several tapes.

Taking Notes

Constellation activity can be faster than lightening. Multiple resolutions can occur in an instant in any phase and it would become more time consuming for me to pause to explain every detail for recording purposes or so you can take a lot of notes. It's more beneficial if you engage in the constellation as much as possible and maybe take a few notes on paper if there is a pause in the constellation for such thing.

Written Transcripts

I do not provide written transcripts for constellations.

DVDs

If you can not record your constellation or receive a file transfer, as a last resort, I can send you a DVD of the constellation via USPS. This can take several days and there is an addition charge for materials and postage.
